while scientific progress on new technology has a great potenial to increase our understanding of nature and provide new medical tools it should not be used as a justification to turn our enviroment into a giant scientific experiment by commercial interests.The bio diversity and enviromental integrity of the world is too important to our survival to be risked. The economic development of the world may also depend on the new technology. However only countries that can afford the new gizmos and gadgets can benefit from it.While the other less fortunate countries can’t benefit from the new technology will be deprived greatly as they do not gain anything and only loose more from their environment.
Also in the current world,in my point of view,many new inventions are coming up. And these inventions cause our treasured environment to pay the price for the harmful effects done by the people in the process of creating the inventions. Also the excessive greenhouse gas emission causes the ozone layer to constantly deplete. This will cause global warming and global warming causes many deathly effects such as high sea levels and melting of ice sheets which will result in floods. In my view I think that new technology poses a threat to mankind compared to the promise it provides us with.

Finally!!!School has started!!!After a long and wonderful holiday,the stress has begun.So just to forget all the stress that awaits me.Lets take a detour in my holiday flashback.In the beginning of my holidays I spent my time idling around the house aimlessly and watched mindless cartoons and weird shows.So after spending a couple of days wasting my holidays,I decided that maybe i should do something useful and memorable.So I thought of plans to make my holidays more fruitful.Since my sister was at home I decided to make use of her.I made arrangements with her to go shopping and work out at a gym that I am a member of.So after having a fun time working out we went shopping and spent some fun quality time together.However since I got bored with all the excessive shopping,my cousins and I decided to persuade our parents to organise a short trip to Malaysia as our earlier plans of partying in Australia was cancelled due to some unexpected happenings.After much much much persuation our parents gave in and decided to bring us to Johor Bahru.It may sound boring at this point but,even thought this was a simple trip it was the most enjoyable and fun days of my holiday!Upon reaching Malaysia my family members and I were dead tired.So the next day we decided to enjoy sale that was on by shopping till we drop.Then we went for lunch at nice,comfy little restaurant to indulge in some local delights.It was wonderully fabulous.Then after making ourselves comfortable in our hotel rooms we had a surprise anniversary party for my parents and they were plesantly surprised.So after our mini celebration we slept a little later than usual.Then after our plesant experiences in Malaysia,we left for Singapore!And the happy holidays ended.The final few days of my holidays were spent in tuition and at home.And so the holidays ended.And that was the entry of my both boring and interesting holiday!!

Has the Internet done us more good?Or harm?This is a hot debate topic that has been lingering around every since the internet was invented.So basically what is the internet?The internet is actually a wide scope that contains information on any topic you can think of, a entertainment source and a source of vast communications.The internet can be used for many purposes and has benefitted man kind in several ways.For example, nowadays people barely go through the trouble of sending letters and making long phone calls ; they just switch on their computers or portable lap tops to enquire about their friends through a simple email or even better just chat with them online.So to begin my argument I strongly stand my ground when i say that the internet has benefitted us more than it has harmed us.
Firstly, I am very sure that I am not the only one that agrees with the fact that the internent has done us more good than harm.This is actually because ever since the internet was started ,it has made lives easier and definately more efficient.Through the internent almost anything is possible.The various search engines on the Internet can be used widely by students,staff and many others looking for information.Students can easily find out information for projects and just about anything they have doubts in.The students can save alot of time instead of searching their needed material in encyclopedias or dictionaries,they can merely type a few words into their preferred search engines and get the information they want and more!This results in extra time and extra marks awarded.So this is defiantely one of the plus points of the internet.As I said earlier the internet is also a entertainment source.This is because the internet has many websites that contain music,movies and more.Many use the internet to download movies and music which may be illegal but there are legal sites too.Instead of wasting money and buying cds, you can just download music and movies on the net wif just a simple click of the mouse.And now moving on to the benefits of the internet in the area of communication!
The Internet is very useful to everyone all around the world.This is because everyone from every corner of the world has to communicate and interact with one another.The internet greatly contributes to the interraction that people have as it contains many facilities such as online chatting and email.Through emails people from any corner of the world can keep contact.And instead of sending long and wordy letters that take very long to be sent to the receiver.So instead i'm sure almost everyone would prefer a faster and more reliable way to contact their loved ones.Also keeping contact with your primary school friends may be tough when you step into the stressful secondary school life.But MSN messenger and many other chatting programmes can make sure that you always remember and keep your friends close.Through the chatting services we would be able to inform our friends anything important very quickly and also instead of wasting your money by hanging on the phone for hours you can just chat with them online!
However the internet is sometimes the enemy of parents as they maybe afraid that the bad sites on the net might influence their children.For example the multiple pornography sites and various sites that are not suitable for the young mind.Even if those sites are lurking out there they will only be able to be found if someone intentionaly searches for them.Also these sites can be blocked out from one's computer by installing parental blocks and if parents tend to be more worried they could monitor their children when they are on the net.So all problems can be prevented and the internet can be used safely and usefully.So finally I stand my ground when I say that the internet has definitely done us more good than harm!
